DUDE Winter League 2012

Sneak downstairs, pour yourself a bowl of cookie crisp, turn on the TV, and nestle into dad's favorite chair - it's time for some Saturday Morning Cartoons.
Whether you're a fan of G. I. Joe or Denver the Last Dinosaur; Super Friends or Garfield and Friends; Ghostbusters, The Real Ghostbusters, or Slimer and the Real Ghostbusters: This is the league for you.
The format is coed 4-on-4 beach ultimate.
We play by BULA 4-on-4 rules, unless otherwise noted.
All games are held at Coronado Beach. (see map)
No alcohol, glass containers, or dogs are permitted. Please respect these regulations so that we can continue to play there in years to come. Street parking can usually be found along Ocean Blvd, or very near by.
Games will be held between 10am and 1pm on Saturdays.
After the games are over, everyone is encouraged to head over to the official post-game restaurant, Danny's. (see map)
Registration costs $35 per player.
Registration lasts until January 18th. If space allows, late registrations will be accepted with a $10 fee. Registration fee covers:
- Eight weeks of regular season games (1/21, 1/28, 2/11, 2/18, 3/3, 3/10, 3/24, 3/31)
- Breakfast munchies before every game
- Team jerseys
- End of season tournament and BBQ on 4/7
Let us know if you're interested in being a team captain.
During the registration process, you'll be asked whether you'd like to captain a team. As a captain, you'll be in charge of communicating league information to your team. You should also try to make yourself available for the Captain's meeting, the evening of January 20.
It's OK if you can't make all of the games.
We know you're probably a very popular and successful person with tons of exciting ways to spend your weekends. That's OK! The team rosters are big enough that it's OK if some people don't show up every week. In fact, we've built in a schedule into the registration process. When you register, just select which days you will be unavailable, and we will make sure to take that into account when making the teams. Technology!
New players are welcome.
We want to make sure that everyone has fun, and that everyone learns a little something about ultimate along the way. Every team will have the full range of skilled players - from complete novices to superstars. Don't hesitate to join in on the fun just because you've never played before.
How do I join?
Firstly, create an account if you don't already have one. Once you've gone through the account creation, log in and join the league. You'll be prompted to pay for your league registration via Paypal, or via check/cash. That's it! We'll take it from there.
After registration closes on January 18th, we'll gather the captains and create the teams. Everyone will be placed on a team according to his/her ability, so please be honest in rating yourself. It will help us determine the most evenly matched teams.
Your captain will then email you with all the information you need.
